How do I create a variable?

In a template’s subject or body, put a variable name between double braces—for example, {{ClientName}} or {{SessionDate}}. When you open the template, ShutterScripts creates a matching field to fill.

How do I start without writing from scratch?

Open Learn in Settings and choose a wedding or portrait starter, or create a named blank script. A starter opens as an unsaved draft so you can review and change it before deciding whether to save.

What is My Studio?

My Studio stores optional reusable details such as your name, studio name, signature, email, phone, website, Instagram, and booking link. Templates using matching {{My...}} variables can start with those values. Changing a value for one email does not change My Studio.

Does ShutterScripts send email?

No. Copy Body is the fastest action. You can also copy the subject and body together or open the standard iOS share sheet and choose an installed app. You remain responsible for reviewing and sending the message.

Where did my filled client details go?

Client and session fills are intentionally temporary and are not written to reusable storage. They are cleared when the compose screen closes or the app process ends. Clear Filled Details removes them immediately while restoring reusable My Studio defaults. Your template and My Studio information remain saved.

How do I reuse a shoot location?

Open Locations and save the meeting point, notes, parking details, and optional map links. You can copy a location for a text message or select it while filling a compatible email template.

How do I find a script in a larger library?

Search by template name, subject, body, or variable name. Search ignores capitalization and accents. Pin important templates and choose Recently Used, Recently Edited, or A–Z sorting.

How do library export and import work?

Library in Settings can export a versioned JSON snapshot of reusable templates, Locations, optional My Studio details, pin state, and recent-use information. Filled client values and completed emails are never included.

Import validates the file, previews additions and conflicts, and merges only the choices you review. An export is a manual point-in-time snapshot, not automatic backup or guaranteed recovery. Keep it private because it can contain reusable business information, and export before deleting the app or moving devices.

What should I do if Templates are unavailable?

Close ShutterScripts and reopen it. Do not delete or reinstall the app while saved information needs to be recovered. Contact support with the iPhone model, iOS version, app version, and exact message shown—without including client data.

Where is my reusable library stored?

Version one stores reusable templates, Locations, My Studio details, pin state, and recent-use information in the app's local on-device store. It provides no iCloud sync or automatic cloud backup.

Temporary client/session fills and completed emails are not persisted. Export a manual library snapshot before deleting ShutterScripts or moving devices; an export is not a guarantee of recovery.
