Privacy policy

Your client details are not our business.

ShutterScripts is operated by Quinten Sinclair. It is designed to keep reusable photographer information under the user’s control without a ShutterScripts account, advertising, analytics, or inbox access.

Effective August 25, 2026

Information stored by the app

ShutterScripts stores information a user chooses to enter into reusable email templates, saved Locations, and My Studio. This may include template names, subject and body text, pin and recent-use information, addresses or meeting points, notes, parking instructions, map links, a preferred or studio name, a reusable signature, and business contact or booking links.

Version one keeps reusable information in the app's local on-device store. ShutterScripts provides no iCloud sync or automatic cloud backup. Users should export a manual library snapshot before deleting the app or moving devices.

ShutterScripts does not request or read the device’s current location. A saved Location is text entered manually by the user.

Temporary compose information

Values entered while personalizing a template and the resulting completed email are held only in the active compose screen. ShutterScripts does not write those filled values or completed emails to reusable storage. Clear Filled Details removes temporary manual and selected-Location values while restoring reusable My Studio defaults. Leaving the compose screen or ending the app process clears the temporary session.

Clipboard and sharing

ShutterScripts writes text to the system pasteboard only after the user taps a copy action. The pasteboard item is limited to the current device and assigned a ten-minute expiration.

When a user opens the standard iOS share sheet, Apple displays compatible destinations chosen by the user. Information sent to another app or service is governed by that destination’s terms and privacy practices. ShutterScripts does not confirm that a shared message was delivered.

Information the developer does not collect

Through the app, ShutterScripts has no developer-operated backend that collects or receives templates, saved Locations, My Studio details, filled client values, completed emails, contacts, inbox messages, email credentials, advertising identifiers, usage analytics, or precise device location. It does not sell data or use data for tracking or advertising. Support communications and ordinary website hosting are described separately below.

Apple may process App Store, device-backup, crash, or device information under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy. Those Apple platform services are outside ShutterScripts’ direct control.

Access, export, and deletion

Users can view, edit, copy, export, import, and delete reusable information inside ShutterScripts. Export Library creates a manual point-in-time snapshot of reusable information; it is not automatic backup or guaranteed recovery. Import validates and previews a merge and does not silently replace the entire library. An archive can contain personal or business information and should be stored or shared carefully.

Deleting ShutterScripts removes the app's local data as part of normal iOS app deletion. ShutterScripts does not provide automatic library transfer to another device. Export a manual snapshot before deleting the app or moving devices. Any Apple device-backup or device-transfer behavior is controlled by Apple and the user.

Copying, sharing, archive export/import, and Apple-controlled device backup behavior may move information under the user’s or platform’s control. ShutterScripts itself provides no developer backend, iCloud sync, or automatic cloud backup.

Website and support communications

If a user emails support, Quinten Sinclair receives the sender’s email address, message, and any diagnostic information the sender chooses to provide. This information is used to answer the request, troubleshoot the reported issue, and maintain a reasonable support history. Users may request deletion of a support conversation unless retention is required for security, legal, or recordkeeping reasons.

This website is hosted by Vercel. Like other hosting providers, Vercel may process request information such as an IP address, city or country inferred from that address, browser or device information, requested pages, timestamps, and diagnostic or security logs. The ShutterScripts site does not add analytics, advertising trackers, contact-form scripts, external fonts, or marketing cookies. See the Vercel Privacy Notice for Vercel’s practices.

Children

ShutterScripts is a general business utility for photographers and is not directed to children. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
